BEST OF THE TOP TEN LISTS (TOP 10 Top X LISTS)
As the introduction says these posts are about those lists that you see over and over again. Everyone has an opinion on the Top 10 of a certain subject and everyone wants to share their opinions.
Each entry includes my choice of the Ten best of these lists, the single worst list and compiles a top ten list based on what appears highest of the other lists.
THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW CHALLENGE (TOP X THINGS YOU PROBABLY DID KNOW ABOUT…)
A popular format for a list is to call it “10 Things You Didn’t Know About…” a topic. Rather than a chance for education, I see them as a challenge. I read them wondering how many I really do know. These articles are to introduce a list of this type and offer a survey to see if it’s true that people didn’t already know this things. See the introduction for more information.

The success of the US version of House of Cards has led to some interest in the UK version.
The point of this post is not to compare differences between versions of the show, but rather to help people who may not be familiar with UK politics get around some of the terms. This is in no way meant to imply that anyone who isn’t familiar with UK politics is stupid, and I’m sorry if some of the material seems obvious, it’s impossible to tell what other people do and don’t know. Also remember that I’m not expert of UK politics, just an Australian who watched a lot of Yes, Minster growing up.
